The world cried for the Armenians in 1915, but it's eyes were shut.

They called them "starving Armenians," the ones that survived the Genocide of 1915.

Our parents were among them, refugees fleeing Malatia, crossing a great sea and an ocean to find a new home in the neighborhood of Newburgh, Cleveland, Ohio.

Although the memories of the atrocities remained with them forever, a new Malatiasti life began here, west of Malatia.

We were their first born—The Boys of '26. Living reminders that the Turks had failed in their plan to exterminate the Armenian Race. Newburg soon became "Little Malatia." This anthology tells stories of the Boys of '26 and our clan of seven families, bound by common struggles, adversity, and triumphs.
